Description: Our team has designed Pinnacle Treatment Facilities in several states including Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia. Each facility serves a similar purpose, but each project is very unique, as these facilities are typically renovated from existing storefront locations. We work to utilize as much of the existing infrastructure of the building as possible to generate efficient designs for this growing company. The project pictured is in Covedale, OH, which was a renovation of the existing 5,000 square feet and expansion into the adjacent 4,000 square foot space.
Grace Women’s HEalth
Location: Corbin, KY
Type: Renovation
Description: A former bowling alley was renovated into a state-of-the-art women’s healthcare clinic in Corbin, KY. The design included a variable-air-volume (VAV) HVAC system to allow for independent temperature control of the various zones within the 18,000+ square foot facility. These zones included exam rooms, ultrasound rooms, lobby and office areas, medical lab and staff areas.
Kleinert & Kunz - Hand Clinic
Location: Louisville, KY
Type: Tenant Fit Out
Description: The project was a tenant fit-out of a shell building we originally designed. We reviewed the requirements of the agreement between the owner and tenant and provided an MEP design to meet the tenants needs. Existing rooftop units were utilized to keep the space comfortable. Power and lighting was designed to meet the various needs of the exam, x-ray and and general office areas. And efficient plumbing systems were designed to ensure hot water was available on-demand given the abundance of sinks a medical office building requires.
Bluegrass Kidney Dialysis
Location: Louisville, KY
Type: New Construction
Description: This 11,000+ square foot facility had several unique design considerations. The desire for zoned temperature control was achieved through a variable-air-volume (VAV) system fed from rooftop units. For plumbing, additional sinks and hot water usage required in medical office buildings was achieved utilizing a hot water recirculation system. Through special coordination with the owner, we were able to provide the water, power and dialysis loop piping needed to serve the dialysis stations and associated speciality medical equipment.
